I See A Little Boy
Taking down the pictures.
Putting them into albums.
The past doesn't belong in the present.
Reading journal entries from long ago.
I can't throw them out.
I don't just remember old pain. I experience it again.
Life happens as much to us as because of us.
And vice versa.
Nothing happens by chance.
I see a little boy playing grown up.
I want to tell him to play a child.
The little boy is me.
Childhood goes by.
You want it back when it's gone.
Even when it wasn't how you'd like to recall.
