Sunday's Flashback

In 1985 Diana Ross went to #1 on the Billboard singles charts for the last time. It was a sensational recording of a song written for her by Lionel Richie. The record was dedicated to Marvin Gaye but the video contained footage of The Supremes (Florence Ballard & Mary Wilson), as well as Tammi Terrell and The Temptations. This is one of my favorite recordings of Diana's. She was, and is, The Diva.

Billboard named her "Entertainer of the Century" for the 20th Century. It wasn't all that long ago when Diana Ross was the biggest star in the world and nobody could touch her when it came to class, sophistication, and talent. I think this is one of the songs that shows Diana at her best and proves why she is still such a superstar today.

Enjoy!
