The biggest hit from Tina Turner’s Foreign Affair album, The Best is a rocking pop tune that really gets the blood pumping. Tina sings it as if she’s asking the love of her life to be with her. Maybe she was…but you can bet it wasn’t Ike she was singing to.

This song is Tina’s anthem now. The Best really defines her solo career. She triumphed over so much adversity to become one of the biggest stars in the world. How could anything other than The Best give her the due she deserves?

This video still captivates me. The use of the horses in it is just inspired. I loved this album and this song is one of my favorite tracks of all time from the divine Ms. Turner. The Best is what she is and it’s what she does and it’s her style to the nth degree.
